Patricia Anne Mandel, 79, of State College passed away at the Fairways Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011. Born in Ford City July 1, 1932, she was the daughter of Joseph and Laura (Lambert) Chauvaux. Married on September 30, 1961, to Dr. Richard Joseph Mandel, they enjoyed 49 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband and two children, William and wife Kori (Kim) of Moorpark, Calif., and Susan and husband William Justice of State College. She enjoyed spending time with her 6 grandchildren; Nick, Jake, and Sami Mandel, and Haley, Rachel, and Sylvia Justice.
She was a lifelong Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Victory parish for 10 years. Pat was an avid Penn State basketball fan and she was an enthusiastic ballroom dancer, golfer, and tennis player for many years. She enjoyed extensive (numbering 50) visits to California and stays in Florida.
Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, September 16, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College. Burial will be at Boalsburg Cemetery.
