Paul I. Holderman, 74, of Bellefonte, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Altoona Regional Hospital.
Born on Nov. 15, 1935, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Paul and Eleanor (Aikey) Holderman. He was a 1954 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1954-1957. He was employed and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and VFW. Paul loved to travel and over the years became very fond of Costa Rica, loving there seasonally over the past 15 years. He lived in Florida, Costa Rica, and Pennsylvania.
Paul is survived by his wife, Sara, of Costa Rica; his children; son, Greg, of Bellefonte, son, Timothy and his wife Debbie, of Windermere, Fla., daughter, Mary Kruger and her husband Vincent, of Alpharetta, Ga., son, Stephen and his wife Rachel, of Vero Beach, Fla., daughter, Jeannie, of Corl Gables, Fla.; seven grandchildren; Ben Holderman, Luke Holderman, Jacob Kruger, Charlie Giambalvo, Will Holderman, Cate Holderman, and Grace Holderman; one sister, Delores Fisher, of Bellefonte, and two brothers; Raymond Holderman and his wife Anna, of Bellefonte and Kenneth Holderman, of Bellefonte.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Neil R. Dadey officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
