Ray E. Kellerman, Jr. (Sunny), 81, of Rebersburg passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2013 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA. He was born in Bellefonte on March 23, 1932, the son of the late Ray and Edna Kellerman. Mr. Kellerman was a 1950 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He attended the United Methodist Church in Rebersburg until he moved out of the area. He was employed at Schaeffer's Hardware in Bellefonte for 35 years. He also helped his parents with the daily operations of their taxi service in Bellefonte. Later he was also employed by Rishel Sales and Service of Spring Mills.

After 10 years of service, he retired from the Bellefonte Area School District. Mr. Kellerman took great pride in being a member of the Bellefonte EMS for 62 years and the Logan Fire Company #1 of Bellefonte for 63 years. He was one of the original members of the Bellefonte ambulance service. He was also a member of the Central District Volunteer Fireman's Association. He was an avid hunter and he also enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, carpentry, cutting wood, and attending auctions. He was also a great handyman who could fix just about anything. The highlight of his year was attending the Grange Fair, having attended his 81st Grange Fair this past year. What he loved most was spending time with his family.

He was a wonderful father and grandfather, and will be missed by those who loved him. Mr. Kellerman is survived by three daughters, Raelene Decker (Larry) of Rebersburg, Kimberly Domin (Bruce) of Leesburg, Va. and Robin Manuel (Phillip) of Blacksburg, Va., and one son Kevin of Philadelphia, Pa. ; seven grandchildren Christin Decker Martz (Scott), Bethani Decker Blume (Warren), Jennifer Kellerman Kay (John), Joshua Kellerman (friend Elena), Kyle and Caleb Manuel, and Sarah Domin; and six great-grandchildren Alexis, Keagan, Mason, Isaac, Lily, and Kanton. He is also survived by one sister, Patricia Brindel of Bellefonte, a niece Anita Auman (Phil) of Julian and their two sons Philip (Michelle) and Justin (Sherri), their children Mason and Kassidy, as well as many cousins. He also had a faithful canine companion and “little girl”, Stormy who was a joy in his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Cameron and a brother-in-law, Earl Brindel.

Friends will be received from 4-6 pm, on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 N. Spring St. in Bellefonte. and again from 1-2 pm, Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Calvary Bible Church, 600 N. Penna. Ave. in Centre Hall. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately at 2 pm, at the church, with Pastor Richard Gilbaugh officiating. A private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
