Raymond A. Haushalter, 73, of Boalsburg, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born February 21, 1936, in Sewickley, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary Kraynyk Haushalter. On Nov. 8, 1958, he married Beverly Pemberton, who survives.
Raymond was a 1954 graduate of Moon Township High School. He was a pilot with U.S. Air, formerly Allegheny Air Lines. He served in the Air National Guard for 20 years, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a member of Christ Community Church and of the American Philatelic Society.
Along with his wife, Beverly, he is survived by two sons, Eric V. Haushalter and Kurt M. Haushalter and his wife, Joanna, all of Boalsburg; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Amaryah and Sean; and a brother, Charles Haushalter and his wife, Betty, of Maryland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 26, at the Christ Community Church, 200 Elles Place, State College, with the Rev. Charles Staudenmaier officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
