Obituary of Rosemarie Kirk , 78

Rosemarie Kirk, 78, of Christ the King Manor at DuBois, formerly of State College, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the manor.

She was born October 3, 1931, in Erie, a daughter of the late George and Dorothy Treuwart Senger. November 7, 1953, she married Harry B. Kirk who preceded her in death in 2000.

Rosemarie graduated from St. Benedict Academy in Erie in 1949. She was employed as an executive secretary for Hammermill Paper Company in Erie, retiring after nearly thirty years of service.

Mrs. Kirk was of the Catholic faith, a member of the State College Lions Club, a quilting club, a bowling league in Bellefonte, and was an avid swimmer.

Surviving are a son Alan F. Kirk and his wife Patricia L Roenigk of rural Port Matilda; three grandchildren, Heather M., Michael P. and Megan A. Kirk; one sister Mary Lagana of Ohio; and one brother Herbert Senger.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Robert Senger.

Friends will be received from 10:30 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. Friday, March 12, 2010, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. The funeral will follow at 11:00 a. m. at the funeral home with Deacon Michael Ondik officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Union Cemetery in Luthersburg.
