Thelma H. Pyle, 80, of Rebersburg, passed away Monday, December 7, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 2, 1935 in Spring Mills, a daughter of the late Clayton & Dora (Biddle) Hettinger.

Growing up Thelma helped with the chores on her family farm. This experience prepared her for the farm work she did beside her husband on their own farm. Mostly Thelma was a homemaker raising her seven children. She enjoyed sewing & needlepoint creating many gifts for her children. She loved working in her flower beds & her garden. What Thelma enjoyed most was cooking meals for big family picnics & all the time she could spend with her children and grandchildren. Thelma was a member of the Mennonite chapel of Madisonburg.

Besides her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by 2 sons Joseph & Peter Pyle, 2 sisters Janet Pennypacker & Marie McCool & 1 brother Kenneth Hettinger.

Thelma is survived by her husband of 62 years, David Pyle, 3 sons David (Cindy) Pyle of Williamsport. Christopher (Peggy) Pyle of Bellefonte & Daniel (Amy) Pyle of Rebersburg; 2 daughters Sharon (Lynn) Myers of Spring Mills & Tammy Crater of Millheim. Brothers Donald (Linda) Hettinger & Randall (Mary) Hettinger. Sisters Joyce Hettinger, Patricia (Terry) Wance & Jean Tice. Thelma leaves 11 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren

Visitation will be on Friday, December 11 from 11:00 am to 1:00pm in the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, 120 West Main Street, Millheim, PA 16854. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Marvin Freed officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Millheim.
