Thomas Keim Tedrow, 67, of Bellefonte, passed away at Mount Nittany Medical Center on July 30, 2010.
He was born August 5, 1942 in Meyersdale, Pa, a son of the late Clyde E. and Fern Keim Tedrow. On November 10, 1963, he married Lorna Joyce Hoover, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Xochi Confer of Bellefonte and one son, George Tedrow of Mingoville. Also surviving are five granddaughters, Lindsay and Kayla Confer and LeTasha, Cora and Karalee Tedrow and one grandson Clayton Confer. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Tedrow of LaVale, MD.
Tom graduated from Salisbury-Elklick High School and attended Penn State University and retired from Corning Asahi. Tom enjoyed attending the Corning Retiree Breakfast. His special interest included woodworking and his final project led him across the country in search of his family history to complete a genealogy project. Tom was deeply involved in his grandchildren's lives; attending all of their events and encouraging them to excel and to do their best. He loved watching his granddaughter's play volleyball so much that he became a PIAA Volleyball Referee.
Tom lived life to the fullest. A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10 A. M. at the Zion Union Cemetery, Walker Twp., Centre Co.
