Obituary of Tina Hicks , 52

Tina Marie Hicks, 52, died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the ARC Forever Home in Bellefonte.

Born January 17, 1963 in Bellefonte she was a daughter of the late Richard H. and Mary Bickel Hicks.

Tina was a graduate of State College Area School District and participated in Special Olympic Events. For many years she was employed by Skills of Central Pennsylvania. Tina loved being with people and liked to joke and tease. If she grinned and told you “you’re bad,” you knew she liked you. She also loved animals and babies, enjoyed paging through her magazines, watching DVDs and working on arts and crafts projects.

She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Bloom of Edna, TX, and Sharon Hicks of Pleasant Gap; a brother Ted Hicks of Harrisburg; her step-mother Kathryn Hicks of State College, and her guardian George Hall of Boalsburg.

In addition to her parents Tina was preceded in death by her guardian Margaret Hall.

Family and friends will be received from 12-2 PM, Monday (Today) December 7, 2015 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Steven Hicks officiating. Interment in Centre County Memorial Park will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of the ARC Forever Home who loved and cared for Tina. We also appreciate the support of the Medi Home Health & Hospice staff, which helped make Tina’s last days more comfortable.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Tina’s name may be made to ARC of Centre County, 1840 N. Atherton Street, State College, PA 16803.
