Valerie M. Green, 49, of State College, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 at her home. Born on October 11, 1964, in Newton NJ, she was the daughter of Dianne Pluymers of Florida and the late Ronald & Rosemarie Green, Sr.

Valerie was a homemaker. She attended the Assembly of God Church in State College. She attended South Hills Business School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.

Valerie enjoyed drawing, reading books, and scrapbooking. She had a big heart and was always thinking of others. She would do anything to help someone in need.

Valerie is survived by her three sons; Donald Lamey and his wife, Shaina, of State College, Chris Lamey and his wife, Jamaica, of Bellefonte, & Elvin Lamey of Howard, three daughters; Bambi Hutchinson of Chesterton, IN, Cassandra Kormanec and her husband, Darren of Snow Shoe, and Kelly Lamey of Wellsboro.
Also surviving are her siblings; Ronald Green, Jr., of Lock Haven, Cecilio Ayala of Honey Brook, PA, Rose Surovec and her husband, Scott, of Iowa, Anita Folmer of Lancaster, and Betsy Robinson and her husband, Michael, of Florida, and by her 12 grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Wendy Hunter and son in-law, Adam Hutchinson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 10am – 12 noon at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St, Snow Shoe. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the funeral home at 12 noon with Pastor Douglas Mottin officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Grays Cemetery, Patton Twp.
