Obituary of Vernon Eugene Peck Jr., 58

Vernon Eugene Peck Jr., 58, of Lamar died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009 in Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.
He was born May 12, 1951 in Lock Haven, a son of the late Vernon Junit & Anna May Basinger Peck. He was raised in McElhattan, moved to Castanea in 1961 and to Lamar in 1976.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Peck, at home.
He graduated in 1970 from Lock Haven High School, he was employed at T.A. truck stop in Lamar for 32 years.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Phillies baseball, cooking on the grill and having a fire in his fire pit.
Surviving, along with his wife, is a sister, Sharon (David) Solt of Tom's River, N.J.; two half-sisters, Hope Weaver of Alexandria, Pa. and Deloris Gallo of Avis; and a brother, David Peck of Denver, Colo.
At his request, there will be no services.
