Paul Andrew Grove, 101, of State College, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. He was the widower of Wava Grove.

Born February 6, 1925, in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Earl and Florence Grove.

Paul served with the U.S. Army 89th Infantry Division, CO E 354th Regiment through the end of WWII. He was stationed in France, Germany, and Luxemburg; serving during the Rhineland Campaign in Central Europe earning a Combat Infantry Badge, a Good Conduct Medal, with a Bronze Star and the American Campaign in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East earning a WWII Victory Medal; and during the WWII Occupation in Vienna, Austria.

Paul owned and operated Scotty & Paul’s Body Shop in Bellefonte for 34 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church; Masonic Lodge #700 State College F&AM; Tall Cedars Centre Forest #129; Past President of Grand Tall Cedars (1991); Scottish Rite of Altoona; Valley Shrine in Altoona; Centre Co. Shrine; Life Member and past commander of American Legion Smith-Pletcher Post #779, Centre Hall; Life Member of VFW Post #1600 Bellefonte; The Bellefonte Elks (BPOE). Paul was a Vincentian and former volunteer for the St. Vincent DePaul Society in State College since 2000 and was a former member of the Centre Squares where he enjoyed square dancing.

In addition to his memberships, he liked camping, hunting, and fishing.

Surviving is his son, Gary Vaughn Grove (Diane); daughter, Tshana Myers (Brian); 2 sisters, Freda Crummey and Barbara Confer; 4 grandchildren, Harrison Grove (Maria), Gabriel Grove, Colton Myers (Hannah), and Andrea Manyak (Gabriel); and 2 great grandsons, Paxton and Parker Grove. Paul was predeceased by his brother, Leonard Grove.

An evening viewing will be held Wednesday, March 18, 6-8:00 pm, at Haky Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 19, 10:00 am, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, PA 16801. Entombment at Centre County Memorial Park will follow the Mass.
