Peter Pinkevitch, 77, of Bellefonte, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Danville. He was born on July 29, 1946, in Hovel, Ukraine. He married his beloved wife, Nadezhda Hope Pinkevitch, who preceded him in death on January 29, 2022.
Peter graduated high school in Ukraine. He helped his mother raise his siblings due to his father being prosecuted during the soviet time for his Christian beliefs. Peter was the first in his family to move to the USA. He wanted a better life for his family and children. Peter worked in construction for most of his life supporting his family.
Peter is survived by his 5 children, Viktor (Inna) Pinkevitch, Svetlana Pinkevitch, Rosa Pinkevitch, Lyudmila (William) Pinkevitch, and Eduard Pinkevitch. Also surviving are his siblings, Maria Bondarenko (Joseph), Lyudmyla Habovets (Pauval), and Raya Younges (Daniel), and two sisters-in-law, Elena and Elena.
In addition to his wife, Nadezhda, and parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Anatoly Pinkevitch and Leonid Pinkevitch.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. He will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery, Bellefonte. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., and Victorian Crematory, Bellefonte.
