William Edward Davies, better known as Bill to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, at the age of 69 in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania. Born on March 29, 1955, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Bill was the cherished husband of Barbara L Davies, with whom he shared 47 years of a loving marriage full of mutual respect, admiration, and joy. Together, they raised two wonderful daughters, Alissa Kujawski and Christina Davies, who were the apples of Bill’s eye. His family circle was made complete with the addition of his son-in-law, Aaron Kujawski, daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Evans, and his adored grandchildren, Conner Kujawski and Zoe Davies-Evans. Bill was preceded in death by parents, Charles E. Davies Sr. and Helen M. Davies, along with his brother Charles E Davies Jr.

Bill was a man of intellect and pursued higher education with a passion. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA, and continued his graduate studies in Engineering at Penn State University. His career was marked by dedication and excellence, beginning at Cerro Metals in 1978 as an Industrial Engineer. His professional journey continued at Jostens Yearbook Company, where he held multiple roles, including Industrial Engineer, Purchasing Manager, and Human Resources Manager. In 1995, he embraced a career with AAL/Thrivent Financial as a District Financial Representative, earning his FIC designation and becoming a trusted member of the financial community.

Bill’s life was a testament to balance, as he found joy in both his professional and personal endeavors. He had a love for fishing that was only surpassed by his love for his family. Bill was often found on the sidelines or in the audience at his daughters’ athletic and dance activities, cheering them on with pride. In more recent years, his heart swelled with love and happiness as he welcomed and spent time with his grandchildren.

Those who knew Bill would describe him as funny, selfless, and kind. His sense of humor brought laughter and light into the lives of those around him, and his selflessness was evident in his constant putting of others before himself. His kindness was boundless, and he made a habit of extending it to everyone he encountered. Bill’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his family and community.

As a man who faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, Bill’s battle with Huntington’s Disease exemplified his strength and resilience. Throughout his fight, he maintained his characteristic optimism and continued to inspire those around him. His life reminds us of the words of Helen Keller: “What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”

Bill Davies will forever be remembered as a man who uplifted and enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched. Bill’s journey on this earth has come to a restful end, but his spirit will carry on through the love he shared and the profound impact he made on his piece of the world. He was, and will always be, deeply loved and profoundly missed.

While Bill’s fight as an HD Warrior has ended, and he is now at rest, many continue to endure the struggles the disease brings. With that in mind, the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Bill’s memory to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (hdsa.org).
