- Hiking / Trails Central Pennsylvania has some of the most scenic and challenging hiking trails in the northeast ranging from a little over a mile (Alan Seeger Trail) to hundreds of miles long (Mid-State Trail). Here are just a few.
- Caving / Spelunking Pennsylvania has one of the most extensive cave networks in the nation, and many are found local to State College.
- Rock Climbing / Rappelling Since State College is so mountainous, you have your pick as to where you would like to rock climb or repel.
- Biking / Moutain Biking Due to State College's topography, biking is a challenging endeavor. You can ride an easy trail at one of the state parks, or you can test your skill at the deer pen trails

Join Dr. Gene Bazan for a one hour workshop to learn about creating and using your own compost.
Join instructor and experienced fly fisherman Dave Swan for an introductory class to Fly Fishing for Adults. It includes four 2-hour classes on Thursdays beginning May 24 at 6:30-8:30pm.
Memorial Day Weekend 2012 “CRPR DOLLAR DAY$” on Saturday, Sunday & Monday, May 26, 27, 28, 2012 $1 per person admission all day at both Welch & Park Forest Pools!
The Cub Scouts of Pack 82 are having their annual summer picnic at Spring Creek Park! Lots of fun and games! Don't forget to bring a swim suit and towel. Hope to see you there.
The State College Model Yacht Club will be sailing and racing the East Coast 12 Meter model yacht. You are invited to come out and experience the excitement of sailing one of these beautiful models.
