The budget stalemate in Pennsylvania’s legislature is still going strong. Food banks throughout Pennsylvania are short on funds without state funding, and in State College, local students are chipping in to help fill that gap.

If you’re a State College family with multiple library cards, you no longer have to worry about rounding them all up the next time you head to Schlow Library on South Allen Street.

“When somebody does something this terrible, they normally tell someone,” district attorney Stacy Parks Miller said. “We believe that someone out there knows who did this to her.”

State College police are searching for a man who they say tried to pass a counterfeit bill at Uni-Mart, located at 1200 S. Atherton St. Police said that the suspect was driving a light-colored Chevrolet extended cab truck.
