STATE COLLEGE —SPE Federal Credit Union is embarking on a program of volunteering and charitable giving as it celebrates four decades in business.

Called the 40 for 40 Campaign, SPE’s program includes 40 initiatives that contribute to the Centre County and Huntingdon County communities in a meaningful way, all in honor of the credit union’s 40th anniversary.

During 2018, SPE will work with 40 different nonprofit organizations offering services, raising money, collecting donations and volunteering time.

Since 1978, SPE has nurtured a company culture that emphasizes service to others and working with organizations that contribute to the broader community.

“We are very grateful to the people in the communities we serve and pleased that we are able to make this commitment. The community support over the past 40 years is much appreciated,” said CEO Michael Meier. “Together, we continue to improve the life and financial health for all.”

SPE Federal Credit Union is a full-service financial institution with more than 10,000 members in Centre and Huntingdon counties. SPE provides a broad range of services including checking and saving accounts, auto loans, mortgages, credit cards and small business services.
