Woodring’s Floral Gardens is closing its downtown State College location and consolidating with its Bellefonte shop, according to a sign posted on the store’s window.
The 145 S. Allen St. store will officially close after its last day on Saturday, May 14, according to an employee. The florist’s other location is at 125 S. Allegheny St. in Bellefonte.
“After careful consideration we have decided to move our business and combine with our Bellefonte store,” the sign read. “Having been in this location since 1976 it was a difficult decision to make and a lot of factors were taken into account.”
Woodring’s will continue to cover its current delivery area, now just from one location.
The florist’s Bellefonte location has been open since 1922 and has been serving the central Pennsylvania community ever since. For more information on Woodring’s moving forward, check out the store’s Facebook page and website.
