Hundreds of State College community members gathered on Saturday in honor of Pride Month. This was the second annual State College Pride event hosted by Centre LGBTQA Support Network, the State College Borough 3 Dots Downtown, and the Downtown State College Improvement District.

The celebration included a parade that started at State College Area High School and ended at Sidney Friedman Park, where a festival included live music, a magician, food and local organizations.

Members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies strutted down a parade route in downtown State College. Decorated vehicles, bikes and roller skates were common modes of transportation for the parade.

Many local businesses, organizations and government and community leaders expressed their support through decorated signs, confetti poppers, and chants.

There were many encouraging signs with positive messages, creating a proud, loving environment.

The parade route was full of supportive parents and their children walking or watching the festivities.
