Ferguson Township is inviting the public to share in celebration of the 151st anniversary of Arbor Day from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday at Tom Tudek Memorial Park.
The township is home to plenty of green spaces, and officials said protecting and honoring the trees and woodlands of the area is a priority. Township leaders are emphasizing tree planting and care for the natural environment.
This celebration includes several activities for the whole family to enjoy, including tree planting, free tree seedlings, bucket truck rides, a guided tree walk with Ferguson Township Arborist Larry Maginnis, refreshments, a reading of Ferguson Township’s Arbor Day Proclamation and more.
Tom Tudek Memorial Park is located at 400 Herman Drive, State College, and the festivities will kick off at Pavilion 1.
