LION Bash Brings Together Students, Local Residents in Downtown State College

The annual LION (Living in One Neighborhood) Bash on Thursday evening in downtown State College gave residents and Penn State students a chance to get out and enjoy the summer evening with live music, games and other events. The event provides community members the experience of a block party and the opportunity to learn more about local organizations and resources in the State College area.

Onward State’s visuals team was on hand to capture all the fun and excitement throughout the evening on the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of South Allen Street.

The stage at South Allen Street and Calder Way offered a variety of dance and music performances.

Even the Nittany lion was there to kick back and relax with some community conversations (and a massage).

The Nittany Lion entertained community members and even got to relax at Revive Modern Massage’s table.
Vendors showcased their services for the community with demonstrations and freebies, including caricatures by Chip Mock, ballon animals by Nittany Balloons, among others.
Emergency responders such as Centre LifeLink EMS and Alpha Fire Company were on hand to talk about their services.
