Literary giant John Irving, former U.S Poet Laureate Joy Harjo, bestselling author Ruth Ware and Emmy nominee John Stamos will be among the many virtual guests for Schlow Centre Region Library’s “Author Talk” series this fall.
Brought to the Centre Region by the generosity of donations from the community, Schlow offers these online, interactive events in collaboration with Library Speakers Consortium and partner libraries across the country.
Upcoming virtual author visits include:
• Adam Alter, New York Times bestselling author of “Drunk Tank Pink” and “Irresistible” at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20.
• Amor Towles, New York Times bestselling author of “The Rules of Civility,” “A Gentleman in Moscow,” and “The Lincoln Highway,” at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27
• Rick Steves, popular public television host and bestselling guidebook author, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
• Ruth Ware, No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of “The It Girl” and “The Woman in Cabin 10,” at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
• John Irving, New York Times bestselling author of “A Prayer for Owen Meany” and “The Cider House Rules,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 26.
• John Stamos, three-time Emmy nominee, “Full House” star and author of the upcoming memoir “If You Would Have Told Me,” at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
• Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche, New York Times bestselling author and host of the award-winning podcast “Brown Ambition,” at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9.
• Joy Harjo, the 23rd United States Poet Laureate and 2023 winner of Yale’s Bollingen Prize for American Poetry, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov.16.
• Naomi Alderman, international bestselling author of “The Power” and creator of “Zombies, Run!” at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30.

meeting link with the opportunity to submit their questions to host Brandon Adler.
