Mount Nittany Health partnered with the State College Spikes to raise awareness about breast cancer, honor survivors of the disease and raise money to support patients during the annual Paint the Park Pink game on July 26 at Medlar Field.

The event featured an auction of the special pink flower jerseys worn by the Spikes during game against the Williamsport Crosscutters, as well as a jersey worn by Ike the Spike and a team-autographed jersey, which raised more than $5,600 for the Mount Nittany Health Foundation. The money will be used to support Mount Nittany Health’s Breast Cancer Fund, according to Dr. Abhishek Seth, oncologist at Mount Nittany Health.

“Paint the Park Pink is a powerful reminder of what our community can do when we come together,” Seth said. “We’re incredibly thankful to the State College Spikes, our supporters and every fan who joined us.”
