Centre County reported 33 new COVID-19 cases on Friday to bring its total to 15,992, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 4,188 positives for a statewide total of 1,126,850.
The county also had 122 additional negative test results, increasing its total to 67,219. Across Pennsylvania, there were 10,735 new negatives for a total of 4,332,764.
According to the health department’s hospital preparedness dashboard, which includes Mount Nittany Medical Center and rehabilitation hospitals, 24 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Centre County, including two in intensive care and on ventilators.
Statewide, 2,702 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized [a decrease of 106 since Thursday], including 563 in intensive care [-8] and 271 on ventilators [-10].
DOH reported no new deaths attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, keeping the local total at 217.
With 59 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide, Pennsylvania’s total is 25,938.
An estimated 89% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, per a health department calculation.
As of Friday morning, 46,509 people in Centre County are fully vaccinated and 20,404 are partially covered.
Among Pennsylvania’s cases, 950,665 are confirmed and 176,185 are probable. In Centre County, 14,595 are confirmed and 1,397 are probable.
