Centre County reported 35 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday to bring its total to 15,779, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Pennsylvania added 4,577 positives for a statewide total of 1,113,868.
The county also had 62 additional negative test results, increasing its total to 66,786. Across Pennsylvania, there were 7,457 new negatives for a total of 4,302,330.
DOH reported one new death attributed to the virus among Centre County residents, bringing the local total to 216.
With 77 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide, Pennsylvania’s total is 25,767.
Mount Nittany Medical Center is treating 28 COVID-19 inpatients, two fewer than on Monday. The patients range in age from 28 to 90, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Statewide, 2,833 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized [an increase of 128 since Monday], including 576 in intensive care [+15] and 292 on ventilators [+12].
An estimated 89% of COVID-19 patients in the state have recovered, per a health department calculation.
As of Tuesday morning, 43,327 people in Centre County are fully vaccinated and 19,679 are partially covered.
