Centre Volunteers in Medicine and Penn State are teaming up to host another free COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The clinic will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday for anyone age 12 or older to receive a first, second or booster dose. All three authorized vaccines will be available.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged and can be made online. According to a university news release, appointments were first being made available to Penn State students and employees and then to community members, but as of Friday night the online registration form was open to anyone.

Individuals must wear a mask inside the Jordan Center and should bring photo identification and, if receiving a second dose or booster, their vaccination card. Entry will be through Gate B.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is available for first, second and booster doses for ages 12 and older. Booster doses can be administered to those who were fully vaccinated at least five months ago.

The Moderna vaccine is available for first, second and booster doses for ages 18 and older, as well as for a third primary-series dose for immunocompromised individuals 18 and older. Moderna booster doses also require five months since full vaccination.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is available for first doses and boosters for ages 18 and older. Johnson & Johnson boosters are available for individuals who were fully vaccinated more than two months ago.

Three more COVID-19 vaccination clinics are also on CVIM’s upcoming schedule.

The nonprofit organization will offer first, second and booster doses by appointment or walk-in for ages 12 and older from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Mount Nittany Middle School, 656 Brandywine Dr., and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 2 at CVIM, 2026 Sandy Drive. All three authorized vaccines will be available at both clinics.

CVIM’s next pediatric vaccination clinic for ages 5 to 11 will be held by appointment only from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 at the Sandy Drive facility. Pediatric Pfizer vaccines will be available for first or second doses.

CVIM administered COVID-19 vaccines to hundreds of people on Jan. 9 at the Jordan Center and previously conducted clinics at the arena in March 2021. The venue also served as the site of a regional vaccination clinic operated by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Department of Health from April through June.
