The race between Pennsylvania Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Bob Casey and Republican candidate Dave McCormick will help determine the balance of power in the Senate.
Casey is seeking his fourth term in the U.S. Senate and is one of the most recognizable figures in Pennsylvania politics. McCormick is a former hedge fund CEO and Army combat veteran who previously ran for Senate in 2022, when he lost in the Republican primary to Mehmet Oz.
Pennsylvanians are also electing their representatives in the U.S. House. In Centre County, the 15th Congressional District race pits eight-term incumbent U.S. Rep. Glenn “G.T.” Thompson, R-Howard, against Democratic challenger and first-time candidate Zach Womer, of Philipsburg. Republican Grant Martin also ran a write-in campaign.

The Associated Press doesn’t make projections and will declare a winner only when it has determined there is no scenario that would allow the trailing candidates to close the gap.
