Motorists will not be permitted to park on certain roads near Beaver Stadium on Tuesday and a special traffic pattern will be in place following the Central PA 4thFest fireworks show.

State College Police said that parking will not be allowed on streets near the stadium, along the Mount Nittany Expressway, Route 220 (I-99) or Orchard Road. Violators will be tickets and possibly towed.

The fireworks are expected to start at approximately 9:20 p.m. and beginning at 9:40 p.m. an alternate traffic pattern will be in place until outbound traffic has cleared:

– Park Avenue will be one-way westbound from Fox Hollow Road to North Atherton Street.

– Park Avenue will be one-way eastbound from Fox Hollow Road to Orchard Road.

– Porter Road will be one-way southbound from Beaver Stadium to East College Avenue.

‘Motorists should expect delays during outbound traffic because traffic volume is expected to be equivalent to that of a Penn State home football game,’ a police advisory said.
