The Winter of 2012 that wasn’t could finally show up on Monday and Tuesday and force State College to break the boots back out.

AccuWeather said at least 1.5 inches of snow is on the way between Sunday night and Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to linger around 39 degrees, with a ‘RealFeel’ of 25 degrees on Sunday night.

Monday will be similar, with an expected 39 degrees temperature and RealFeel of 30 degrees, with a mixture of rain and snow, AccuWeather reported.

Monday night temperatures will drop to 36 degrees with a RealFeel of 23 degrees, with a chance of flurries, AccuWeather reported.

Winter was much more mild in 2012 than the icy, snowy, and windy winter of 2011. Accuweather said this will be one of the only other storms besides a brief weekend snowstorm in October.

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a ‘Winter Weather Advisory’ to be in effect through 6 a.m. Tuesday.
