Coffee lovers, get excited. Penn State’s Berkey Creamery has added three new flavors of coffee to its lineup.
The three newest additions — “Waffle Shop,” “Blueberry Scone,” and “Black Jack” — are available now. These new blends also feature some updated packaging.
“Waffle Shop” features notes of mild peach and citrus; “Blueberry Scone” has notes of blueberries and toasted sugar, and “Black Jack” is a classic espresso blend with notes of semisweet chocolate and citrus twist, Jim Brown, the Creamery’s sales and marketing manager, explained in a release.
“Blueberry Scone” and “Black Jack” are available at self-serve and in K-Cups, while “Waffle Shop” is available only in K-Cups for now, Brown noted.
“We looked at the coffees that we had, and we wanted to increase the depth of flavor a bit,” Brown said. “Our coffees have a smooth, strong-bodied flavor, and that’s what I believe makes it so unique to the university. When you look at other coffees, not all are as delicately balanced with a wonderful depth of flavors. Penn State Creamery coffee has six different roasting levels.”
The new options join the creamery’s other current blends: “Americana,” “Donut Shop,” “Hazelnut,” “Vanilla Bean,” “Mexican Chiapas,” “Happy Valley” and “Decaf,” which also have a new packaging design.
More about the coffee blends and other products is available on the creamery’s website.
Berkey Creamery is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
