Christopher Lee’s list of alleged crimes just got even longer and more severe.
According to a new indictment filed Wednesday in federal court, Lee now faces charges of producing child pornography and interfering with an investigation.
The indictment alleges that Lee attempted to tamper with his cell phone to impede authorities, but gives no details about the other new charge.
Lee, a former Harris Township supervisor and CEO of the Boal Mansion Museum, was arrested in October on felony charges of possessing child pornography and bringing a foreign minor with the intent to molest him.
Lee’s attorney Kyle Rude says the prosecution has requested that Lee’s pending April trial be pushed back in light of the new charges. Lee has objected to that request.
“Mr. Lee maintains his innocence and wishes to be exonerated after a jury trial,” Rude says in an email.
Lee resigned from both his prominent community positions in February. He has since been replaced as a supervisor by Penn State professor Bruce Lord. The Boal Mansion Museum is seeking new leadership, with hopes to open by May.
