Regional Elite Airline Services plans to offer job interviews to all 23 US Airways workers who will be cut from University Park Airport in June, a spokeswoman said.

‘The staffing matrix is something that will be determined in the coming weeks,’ said Kristin Bauer, a spokeswoman for Regional Elite. She said pay and hiring decisions will be made on a person-by-person basis. Details of Regional Elite’s pay structure were not immediately available.

Airport officials confirmed last week that US Airways plans to cut 23 jobs in June at University Park Airport. Those 23 workers handle passenger processing, baggage and other ground functions for as many as seven US Airways flights a day.

Regional Elite, a Minneapolis-based subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, will take over those duties for the US Airways flights. Bauer said US Airways and its subsidiary at University Park, Piedmont Airlines Inc., asked Regional Elite for its services.
