The Goo Goo Dolls has a date to play Eisenhower Auditorium at Penn State on Oct. 19, according to the band’s official Facebook page.

That concert will be part of an ongoing tour that’s expected to run through November, the page indicates. Other Goo Goo Dolls shows in Pennsylvania will include ones in Latrobe (Oct. 23) and Mansfield (Oct. 24), according to the page.

The tour also will take the Goo Goo Dolls to England for 10 scheduled shows there. Twenty-six U.S. shows are slated from late August through the end of October.

The Goo Goo Dolls took shape in the late 1980s in Buffalo, N.Y., then rose to prominence through the 1990s. The band has tallied 17 top-10 singles and sold nearly nine million albums in the U.S., according to its profile on Wikipedia.

News of the Eisenhower Auditorium show, on the University Park campus, also was reported by Onward State. StateCollege.com will post additional details as they become available.
