Motorists are advised of upcoming lane closures for work on a North Atherton Street bridge in Patton Township, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, crews will be placing an epoxy surface on the two-lane, westbound bridge just west of the Valley Vista exit of Route 322.

The left lane most likely will be closed first, according to PennDOT. Once work is completed on one side, that lane will be opened and the other lane will be closed.

Work is dependent on weather and the schedule could be altered if rain occurs.

The bridge is one of eight being addressed under a $900,000 contract. The work was supported and accelerated by the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law enacted in November.

Mekis Construction Corporation, of Fenelton, is the contractor on the eight-location job.
