With the primary election now less than a month away, the League of Women Voters of Centre County will host a two-night event for candidates in contested races to answer questions from voters.

Candidates Night will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday in council chambers at the State College Borough Municipal Building. The public is invited to attend, and overflow crowds will be directed to the first floor lobby to watch a live stream.

Each candidate will have 60 seconds to answer each of six audience questions and the order of answering will change for each question. Candidates will have 90 seconds each for closing statements.

For primary elections, the League invites only candidates in opposed races. For municipal and school board races, candidates in municipalities with populations of 4,000 or more and in school districts with populations of 20,000 or more are invited.
