Man Sought after Armed Burglary, State College Police Say

An unidentified man with a handgun walked into a Parkway Plaza apartment early Tuesday, State College police said.

It happened about 2 a.m. on the second floor at Building A, according to a police report. A woman was in her dining room when she heard a knock at the door, it says.

The man soon entered and displayed the gun, police said. He took a Dell Latitude laptop computer valued at $2,000 and a backpack containing an Apple iPad, according to the report. The iPad is valued at $500.

No injuries were reported; the man fled the scene, the report shows. It classifies the incident as a burglary.

Some items were found later near the apartment, police said. It was not immediately clear Tuesday exactly which items have been recovered.

Police said the suspect is thought to be in his 20s. He stands between roughly 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall and has a muscular build, according to the police description.
