Nationally Recognized Children’s Musician to Play in State College

“Elephants. I like elephants. I like how they swing through trees…”

Eric Herman, a nationally recognized children’s music performer, will bring his silly lyrics, witty charm (and just possibly an elephant) to the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on Sunday, April 3.

For the second consecutive year, Our Children’s Center Montessori is welcoming Eric Herman for its annual Kids Show. Last year Herman performed at Mount Nittany Middle School, where he entertained a crowd of 500 parents and children.

Herman is known for getting his crowds of kiddos involved, and this year’s change in venue should make for an even more interactive event. “The Pasquerilla Spiritual Center is set up where Eric Herman can be close to the children, which will be very helpful,” said Katie O’Hara-Krebs, the event’s fundraising chair.

Last year, Herman hosted silly dance competitions and kept children on their feet for the entire 45-minute show.  Herman somehow manages to keep adults entertained, too, giving a performance that’s fun for the entire family.

“At our house, Eric Herman is a super hero,” said O’Hara-Krebs, whose daughter attends OCC.

Herman will give two performances on April 3, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets can be pre-ordered for $6 by phone at (814) 237-1585 or purchased at the door for $8. Children age two and under will be admitted free of charge. Parking on campus is free on Sunday in all lots and garages.
