State High Jazz Band: Members of the State College Area High School Jazz Band took the stage in a competition for $13,000 and a chance to jam with modern jazz greats, The Centre Daily Times reported.
As part of the Savannah Music Festival, the fifth annual Swing Central High School Jazz Band Competition and Workshop pitted State High against 11 of some of the countries greatest high school jazz bands. State High did not finish in the top three.
