Paterno Still Sick: Though the Associated Press reported Friday that if it were a game week, he’d be ‘ready to go tomorrow,’ Joe Paterno has cancelled another ‘Evening with Joe’ event — his third cancellation this offseason. A university statement states Paterno is recovering from an adverse reaction to antibiotics from dental work.

Penn State-Nebraska (2002): The Penn State Athletics Department released this video of highlights from the 2002 match between Penn State and Nebraska. Penn State beat the Top-10 team 40-7 in front of a crowd of more than 110,000 fans. 


Nebraska Academics: The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported today that though the Big Ten stressed the importance of academics in expansion, the conference’s newest addition will rank at the bottom of the class academically.

Big Ten Logo: The Chronicle of Higher Education spoke with Al Grivetti, the artist behind the current Big Ten logo. The current logo sneaks ’11’ into the words ‘Big Ten,’ but will need to be adjusted with the addition of a 12th team.
