A storefront sustained damage but no one was injured when a driver crashed her car into a Patton Township clothing shop on Thursday.
Patton Township Police Chief Tyler Jolley said officers responded at 11:19 a.m. to The Loft, 19 Colonnade Way, where the 77-year-old driver said she was attempting to pull into a parking space when she crashed her Kia Sportage into the front of the store.
The woman told officers she was unsure if she accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, Jolley said.
He added that there are no plans at this time to file a citation.
Centre Region Code Administration assessed the damage and determined the building was safe to remain open.
The entrance to the store was unaffected and repairs were underway Thursday afternoon on the damaged portion of the building.
Alpha Fire Company also responded to the scene.
