The Old Main bell was returned to campus Monday, after having been removed last fall for restoration.
The bell was installed for permanent display on the mall between Old Main and Willard Building and will be officially dedicated at a public ceremony at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, April 23.
Penn State’s class of 2009 funded the bell’s removal, restoration and display as a gift to the University. Landscaping and other final touches to the bell display are ongoing and will be completed prior to the dedication, according to the Office of Physical Plant.
