A one-way detour will be in place for three weeks while a contractor rebuilds a retaining wall along Route 144/Pine Street in Bellefonte, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Starting Monday, the detour will be in place only for northbound traffic, which will be directed to use Mill Street and Stoney Batter to reconnect to 144 at South Spring Street.
Route 144 southbound will remain open in the work area.
All work is weather and schedule dependent. PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution in work zones.
