Parking Changes to Be in Place for Arts Festival

Some parking changes are in effect through Sunday in State College for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.

Starting today and continuing until 2 a.m. on July 19, ‘No Parking 2 a.m.-6 a.m.’ restrictions will not be enforced on all borough streets. One-hour and two-hour restrictions will not be enforced from today until 8 a.m. on July 19, according to a borough announcement.

Parking on any streets designated ‘Exhibitor Parking Only’ will not be permitted. Unauthorized vehicles will be ticketed and towed at the operators’ expense. Visitors are encouraged to use the Beaver Avenue, Fraser Street and Pugh Street parking garages. 

Lawn parking will not be permitted and Pennsylvania Vehicle Code violations will be enforced. Parking meters on streets and in lots will continue to be enforced from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Festival parking will be available in the Jordan East parking lot next to the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus. CATA will offer extended Blue Loop bus service during the festival, with the fare-free bus route stopping at the Jordan Center lot and traveling around campus and to downtown.

The 51st Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts is Thursday, July 13 to Sunday, July 16 in downtown State College and on the Penn State campus. Children and Youth Day is Wednesday, July 12.
