A portion of the College Township Bike Path will be closed beginning today, Dec. 22, while crews work to repair a sinkhole that has opened up. The sinkhole has opened near the Mt. Nittany Expressway Bridge over Puddintown Road.
The repair work will cause the closure of the College Township Bike Path from the tunnel that is located under East College Avenue (Route 26) to Puddintown Road.
The Puddintown Road portion of the bike path will also be closed at the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Quonset Hut.
It is uncertain at this time how long it will take for the repairs to be completed and the bike path to reopen.
