Patty Kleban Added to Columnist Lineup

StateCollege.com is thrilled to announce the newest addition to the lineup of columnists: Patty Kleban.

The Penn State instructor and mother of three will be featured on the site every other Tuesday beginning tomorrow, and readers can expect to read about everything from parenting to State College and Penn State issues. 

The former Centre Daily Times columnist is no stranger to the State College community, and she hasn’t been afraid to stir the pot in the past.

A column she authored in 2005 led to the creation and Kleban’s co-chairmanship of State High Vision, which rallied against the State College school district’s handling of plans to either divide the high school into two separate entities or not.

Though Kleban had no plans to be an activist columnist when she started, she won’t be afraid to take a strong stance on future issues that require one, she said Monday.

Other times, readers can expect to read about one of the hardest jobs out there: mother of three teenagers.

The Penn State alumna said she’s excited to begin her newest venture, and we’re just as excited to have her.

The addition is just another way that the No. 1 place for all things State College continues to expand with our readers’ best interests in mind.

She is the first female to join the team of Jay Paterno, Mike the Mailman, Managing Editor Terry Casey, Russell Frank, Mike Poorman and Joe Battista.
