Penn State men’s basketball added to its 2020 class with the verbal commitment of DJ Gordon on Wednesday evening. Gordon, a 3-star shooting guard prospect out of Pittsburgh picked the Nittany Lions over Iowa, Minnesota and VCU among other options.
Coming in on the scales at 6-foot-5, 170 pounds, Gordon plays at First Love Christian Academy and joins fellow 2020 commits in Caleb Dorsey and shooting guard Dallion Johnson.
Penn State’s current 2020 recruiting haul is rated seventh best in the conference and 42nd overall according to the Lions247 rankings.
The Nittany Lions open the season on Nov. 5 against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore but will play an exhibition game against the University of Delaware on Oct. 27th to knock off the rust.
