Hello Penn State fans!
The Penn State football team is set to take on Rutgers tonight at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, N.J.
Historically, the series has been quite lopsided in Penn State’s favor, but the Scarlet Knights are looking to turn that around in their first game as members of the Big Ten conference.
Rutgers is coming into the game undefeated after beating FCS opponent Howard 38-25 last weekend. Penn State is also undefeated after beating UCF in Ireland, and defeating Akron in James Franklin’s home opener last week.
The two teams say they have different outlooks coming into the game, but we know that isn’t necessarily the case. Penn State, with 15 players from the state of New Jersey, is excited to return to the Garden State and put on a show, while Rutgers wide receiver Leonte Caroo said that this game could “change New Jersey and Rutgers football forever.”

Kickoff: 8 p.m. Eastern time.
Television: Big Ten Network — Kevin Kugler, Glen Mason, Shaun O’Hara, and Tina Cervasio.
Radio: Penn State Sports Network — Steve Jones, Jack Ham, and Loren Crispell. Local: 93.7 FM, and 1450 AM.
Weather: It’s gonna be a wet one, folks. There’s about a 50% chance of rain throughout the day. That percentage goes up to 70% for the second half of the game, at about 10 p.m. The high during the day is 73 degrees, and it should be about 65 degrees at kickoff.
Last Time They Met: In 1995, the Nittany Lions defeated Rutgers 59-34 at Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands. The game is notable for the post-game interaction between Joe Paterno and former Rutgers coach Doug Graber. Quarterback Matt McQueary threw a late touchdown to put Penn State ahead by 25, and it rubbed Graber the wrong way. At the post-game coaches handshake, Graber had a few choice words for Paterno, and TV cameras caught the whole interaction.
Injuries: Miles Dieffenbach (knee), Adam Breneman (knee), and Ben Kline (Achilles) are all out for the year for the Nittany Lions.
