Penn State senior linebacker Mike Mauti’s season is over.
The school announced Monday he will miss Saturday’s season finale against Wisconsin because of the left knee injury sustained last week against Indiana. Further details about the extent of the injury were not released.
Mauti, who had rehabbed back from two torn ACL injuries in his career, was injured after he was engaged with an Indiana lineman when running back D’Angelo Roberts hit him low.
He finished the season with 95 tackles, including four for losses and 2.5 sacks. He also led the team with three interceptions and tied freshman defensive end Deion Barnes with three forced fumbles.
