Penn State could be without forward Evan Barratt this weekend as the Nittany Lions take on Wisconsin in the final home series of the regular season.

“Evan is day to day so I honestly don’t know,” Penn State coach Guy Gadowsky said earlier this week. “We will find out more [Wednesday] and Thursday.”

Barratt was hurt last Friday night early in the opening period against Michigan State after taking a bit hit into the boards. He did not return to the game and was scratched the following night.

Historically, it has been difficult to gleam too much information via-Gadowsky injury updates be it through a genuine uncertainty on his end or simply playing it coy. Day-to-day injuries have been listed as such for the same player over the span of a week or two, they have also been available the upcoming weekend.

So it is likely to remain unclear if Barratt will in fact play this weekend until the game actually arrives, needless to say, Penn State would be more than happy to have the services of its dynamic 37-point forward.
