Penn State will hold a press conference on Saturday at noon in the Beaver Stadium Media Room to make an announcement on a personnel decision within Intercollegiate Athletics according to a news release.
New Penn State President Eric Barron will lead off the press conference, which will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
While the University has not confirmed a direct purpose for this press conference, it would appear to be related to the ongoing search and perhaps conclusion of that search for a new athletic director. Current Penn State athletic director Dave Joyner announced his plans to retire earlier this July. Joyner’s final day in his current role is scheduled for August 1.
