The Penn State students hurt in a Bradford-area car crash Friday are recovering, the university reported Sunday.

They are Jena Pardhan, 18; Lauren Bronstein, 18; John Edwards, 20; and Chris Toner, 21, according to earlier reports from Penn State.

Meanwhile, funeral services have been announced for the fifth student involved in the crash. Freshman Courtney O’Bryan, 18, of Huntington, N.Y., died after the accident, Penn State reported.

A car carrying the students hit some black ice on a highway and flipped over, the university has noted. O’Bryan reportedly was thrown from the vehicle.

The students had been en route to Buffalo, N.Y., on a fundraising trip for the Penn State Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, or THON. O’Bryan was a member of Sigma Delta Tau sorority; the others who were in the vehicle include members of the sorority and Kappa Delta Rho fraternity, according to THON.

Services and visitation for O’Bryan will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station, N.Y., Penn State reported. Mass and a funeral will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s  Church, also in Huntington, N.Y., according to the university.

More information is available via the funeral home.
